What this notice covers
This notice describes the Airpath application as currently deployed. The public map can be used without signing in. The hosting platform and external services have their own data practices, linked below.
Route plans and calculations
City and airport searches, geographic route calculations, and range calculations run in your browser using bundled city, airport, airspace and map data. Airpath does not send your route queries or custom polygons to a separate routing server or an analytics service. Your browser still requests the application's pages, scripts, styles, airport data, and map data from the hosting service.
Saved preferences in your browser
Airpath uses browser local storage to remember your last plan on this browser and device. This includes city/airport inputs, archived China-layer preferences, mode, distance units, excluded countries, advisory presets, terrain choices, custom polygons, buffer, and display preferences. The Wi-Fi page separately remembers its route, airline and aircraft/system choice under airpath-wifi-v1. The route-explorer plan is stored under airpath-plan-v1 until replaced or cleared. People who use the same browser profile may be able to view these saved settings.
You can remove the saved plan here or clear this site's storage in your browser settings. Clearing a saved plan does not revoke previously shared links or delete files you have downloaded. An open map tab may save its current settings again; reload or close it after clearing.
Share links and exports
A shared map link includes an encoded copy of the selected plan in the URL fragment, the portion after #plan=. Encoding is not encryption. Anyone who receives that link can view the included inputs and custom areas. URL fragments are not included in ordinary HTTP requests to the server, but the link can still appear in browser history, bookmarks, clipboard contents, or any service where you paste it. Only share information you intend recipients to see.
Wi-Fi view links place the route, airline and aircraft/system selection in the URL fragment after #route=. Those fragments are not included in ordinary HTTP requests, but anyone who receives the link can read the included selection.
CSV, GeoJSON, and SVG exports are created in your browser and downloaded to your device. Their contents can include airports, modeled routes, custom polygons, and chosen exclusions. Airpath does not upload those exports as part of the download action.
Advertising and analytics
Advertising is not active in this version. No advertising publisher account has been configured, and the Airpath application does not load ad-network scripts or initiate advertising cookies. Third-party analytics and tracking pixels are not installed by the application.
If advertising is enabled later, this notice must be updated to identify the ad provider and describe the data and consent controls used. Any required provider-approved consent integration must be completed before ads are activated. Preparing an ad placement does not itself start advertising or tracking.
Hosting and external services
The site is hosted through OpenAI Sites. As part of delivering and protecting the site, the hosting service may process network request information such as IP address, browser information, requested resources, and timestamps. Airpath does not control the platform's logging or retention. See the OpenAI Privacy Policy for the provider's practices.
The interface requests fonts from Google Fonts. Those requests can provide Google with ordinary network request information, such as IP address and browser details. Your route plan is not intentionally included in font requests. See the Google Fonts privacy FAQ.
Following links to airlines, Wi-Fi providers, GeoNames, EASA, OurAirports, Natural Earth, Google, or other external sites takes you to services with their own privacy practices. The D3 library and airport and map datasets used by the map are served with the application.
Future changes
The date at the top identifies this version of the notice. New integrations, advertising, or data collection should be reflected here before they are activated.
